I am 18 years of age and I began taking photos when I was 12. I live in Captain Cook on The Big Island of Hawaii. I have always had an affinity for the natural world. I know I have learnt far more exploring nature than I ever will in a classroom.

I seek to capture pristine moments that would otherwise be lost. My relationship with nature is difficult to put into words. The time I spend in nature is my escape from the trivialities of everyday life. My time spent outdoors is more important to me than anything as it is one of the only times that I can truly be present. When I am immersed in nature, I live completely in the now and that is when I feel truly at peace. I suppose the images I capture are just supplementary to the experiences and moments I come away with. I encourage you to spend time in nature and you will find what you are seeking.

I’d have to say Hawaii is even more magical after the sun sets. I believe the following images are proof of this. I hope I inspire you to get out and gaze up.
